Dr. Jason Huang

Dr. J. Mingyi Huang is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon with The Retina Group of Washington. He cares for conditions that affect the retina and vitreous and works with patients to build a clear, collaborative plan for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

He is committed to compassionate care and has a long-standing focus on service, including global health and community initiatives. In addition to clinical work, he has contributed to peer-reviewed medical literature and presented research at professional meetings.

Dr. Huang earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine after undergraduate studies at Duke University. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern and a surgical retina fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles, Stein Eye Institute.
