Dr. Joshua Ehrlich
About Me
Dr. Joshua R. Ehrlich is a glaucoma specialist and clinician-scientist at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center. He cares for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and anterior segment disease, offering both medical therapy and a range of surgical options when appropriate.
He completed undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis, earned his MD from Weill Cornell Medical College, and received an MPH from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health with a focus on epidemiology. Dr. Ehrlich completed ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital and then pursued fellowship training in glaucoma at the Kellogg Eye Center.
In addition to clinical care, his research focuses on understanding how vision impairment affects health, disability, and quality of life—particularly for older adults—and on improving how eye care is measured and delivered.
