Dr. Joseph Gunn

Dr. Joseph M. Gunn is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Southeastern Retina Associates in Kingsport, Tennessee, where he has practiced since 1997. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as medical director of the Johnson City Eye Surgery Center and on the board of directors of Kingsport Day Surgery Center.

Dr. Gunn completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1985, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency in Chattanooga. He then completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before joining Southeastern Retina Associates, he practiced with Carolina Eye Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina.
