About Me
Dr. Jorge Malouf is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who enjoys caring for patients across all stages of life, from routine vision needs to complex surgical problems. His practice blends meticulous surgical skill with a warm, approachable style, helping people understand their options and choose treatments that match their goals. Patients see him for cataract care with modern lens technologies, evaluation and treatment of glaucoma, relief of dry eye, and minor oculoplastic concerns, as well as diabetic eye disease and neuro-ophthalmic evaluations.
A first-generation Guatemalan-American, Dr. Malouf’s interest in service and global eye care has taken him on medical missions throughout Central America. He studied Molecular and Cellular Biology at The Johns Hopkins University, earned his medical degree at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed ophthalmology residency at Larkin Community Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued a global ophthalmology fellowship year at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, focusing on cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease, strabismus, and reconstructive eyelid surgery. He now brings that broad experience to Tampa, partnering with patients to protect and improve their sight.
