About Me
Dr. Jordan Winegar is a board-certified ophthalmologist and experienced refractive surgeon who leads the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Evans Army Community Hospital. He cares for active-duty service members, retirees, and their families, combining precision, clear communication, and genuine compassion at every step of care. Patients see him for laser vision correction and cataract solutions, and appreciate his thoughtful, safety-first approach to improving vision and quality of life.
Dr. Winegar completed ophthalmology residency as chief resident at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center through the National Capital Consortium in 2022, after earning his M.D. from Saint Louis University in 2018 and graduating cum laude in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University. His clinical interests include LASIK, PRK, implantable collamer lenses (ICL), and advanced cataract surgery, as well as corneal cross-linking and select glaucoma procedures. He stays current with evolving technology to enhance outcomes and welcomes consultations from patients exploring their best path to clearer vision.
