Dr. Jonathan Frantz

Dr. Jonathan Frantz is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 35 years of surgical experience, having performed more than 75,000 surgeries. He is recognized as a pioneer in Southwest Florida for his work in bladeless LASIK and bladeless laser cataract surgery, having performed the first such procedure in the region in 2012. Dr. Frantz specializes in the treatment of cataracts, laser vision correction, cornea conditions, and dry eye. He is ranked the number one bladeless laser cataract surgeon in Florida and one of the top five in the country.

Dr. Frantz completed a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the Louisiana State University Eye Center. He established his practice in 1994, now known as Frantz EyeCare, and is known for his expertise in advanced intraocular lens technology, including the PanOptix trifocal lens. He has been named one of the Best Cataract Surgeons in America and one of The Best Doctors in America.
