Dr. Hinkle attended Yale University for college and earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Wills Eye Hospital. His clinical interests include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears and detachments, macular holes, and other macular disorders. Working closely with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists, Dr. Hinkle focuses on individualized treatment plans that balance safety, recovery, and long-term outcomes.
