About Me
Dr. Michelle Young is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in vitreoretinal surgery. She earned her medical degree from Dalhousie University and completed her ophthalmology residency at McGill University, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Cole Eye Institute. Dr. Young has been practicing in Vermont since 2004 and joined Retina Center of Vermont in 2008. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
At Retina Center of Vermont, Dr. Young provides specialized care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and vitreous disorders. Her approach focuses on preserving and restoring vision through state-of-the-art treatments and surgical techniques. Dr. Young is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Vermont Ophthalmological Society.
