About Me
Dr. Roy Arogyasami is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon specializing in vitreo-retinal surgery. He manages complex retinal conditions such as retinal detachment, macular holes, and diabetic retinopathy, performing advanced surgical procedures to restore and preserve vision. His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of retinal diseases.
Dr. Arogyasami completed his medical degree at Columbia University and his ophthalmology residency at St. Lukes Roosevelt, a teaching hospital of Columbia University. He further specialized through a two-year surgical fellowship at Retina Associates of New Orleans and a research fellowship in retinal electrophysiology at Columbia University. Committed to global eye care, he has volunteered with underserved populations on the Navajo reservation and in children’s hospitals in Guatemala and India, and he participates in sight-restoring surgical expeditions with See International.
