About Me
Dr. John Hickox is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, eye muscle disorders in children, and general adult ophthalmology. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with particular expertise in strabismus and pediatric eye conditions.
Dr. Hickox completed his medical school and ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hickox serves as an assistant professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, hiking, skiing, cycling, and working in his yard.
