About Me
Dr. Rebecca Mets-Halgrimson is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She earned her BA in Biology at Colby College, followed by a master's in public health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She completed her MD and ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University and pursued fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
Dr. Mets-Halgrimson has clinical interests across all areas of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She worked full-time in academic children’s hospitals for 11 years, with roles at the University of Colorado and Northwestern University, where she taught medical students, residents, and fellows. She has published papers and presented at local and national meetings. She is now dedicated to serving the Colorado Springs community with her family.
