Dr. Rebecca Leenheer

Dr. Rebecca Leenheer is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and eye muscle disorders in children. She provides expert care for young patients, focusing on conditions that affect vision development and alignment. Her approach combines clinical expertise with a commitment to personalized, compassionate treatment for each child and family.

Dr. Leenheer completed her medical degree at Loma Linda University and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Southern California and Cedars Sinai. She is very active in the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, serving on the Socioeconomic Committee and Young Ophthalmologist Committee. Dr. Leenheer also holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
