Dr. Krista Heidar

Dr. Krista Heidar is a pediatric ophthalmologist practicing at Family Eye Care and Children's Eye Center of New Mexico. Her clinical focus includes the diagnosis and management of eye muscle disorders (strabismus) in children and adults. She also provides specialized care for premature infants diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) as part of her work at the University of New Mexico.

Dr. Heidar is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and eye motility disorders at Oregon Health Science University.
