Dr. John Yuhas

Dr. John A. Yuhas is an ophthalmologist at Regional Eye Center in Joplin, Missouri, where he has provided comprehensive eye care since 1988. He completed a combined six-year undergraduate and medical school program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at UMKC-affiliated hospitals. Dr. Yuhas co-founded the Regional Surgery Center in 1989, the first freestanding outpatient surgery center in southern Missouri.

He offers a full range of medical and surgical eye care, specializing in cataract surgery and the management of glaucoma. Dr. Yuhas performs cataract surgeries in the practice's Medicare-approved ambulatory surgery center and provides glaucoma treatments including selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He also addresses dry eye conditions, including LipiFlow treatment for evaporative dry eye.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Yuhas is dedicated to delivering quality eye care to the Joplin community.
