Dr. Joern Soltau

Dr. Joern B. Soltau is an ophthalmologist with UofL Physicians – Eye Specialists. He serves as chair of the academic department and associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Soltau specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts, with a particular focus on glaucoma surgery and cataract surgery. His fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute provided advanced expertise in managing complex glaucoma cases.

He has been recognized as Ophthalmologist of the Year by the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians & Surgeons. Dr. Soltau sees patients at the Springs Medical Center location in Louisville and provides care in English.
