About Me
Dr. Erik Kulenkamp is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who evaluates and treats a wide range of eye conditions for adults. His clinical work includes medical and surgical care for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and refractive problems. He has a particular interest in the management of complex cataracts and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), tailoring surgical plans to each patient’s vision goals and lifestyle.
His care philosophy is patient-centered and personal—he strives to deliver state-of-the-art care while making every visit feel respectful and unrushed. Dr. Kulenkamp completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota after earning his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He values collaboration with primary care and optometry colleagues and emphasizes clear explanations, shared decision-making and practical follow-up so patients feel supported before and after treatment.
