About Me
Jennifer Lopez, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon and assistant professor of ophthalmology who cares for adults with medical and surgical retina conditions. She earned her medical degree from New York University and completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Dr. Lopez completed her ophthalmology residency at LAC+USC Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in 2023, followed by fellowship training in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Lopez evaluates and treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, and complications such as retinal tears and detachment. She combines advanced diagnostics and treatment—including intravitreal medications, laser therapy, and microsurgery—with clear communication and shared decision-making. Her goal is to preserve vision while keeping care as convenient and comfortable as possible for each patient.
