Dr. Jennifer Borromeo

Dr. Jennifer A. Borromeo is a board-certified ophthalmologist at UT Health San Antonio who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for adults. She evaluates and treats common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and age-related macular degeneration, and coordinates care across UT Health’s eye care locations to make visits convenient for patients. Dr. Borromeo completed medical school at Tulane University and ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. In the exam room, she emphasizes education and shared decision-making—reviewing test results together, discussing risks and benefits in plain language, and tailoring treatment plans to each person’s goals. She welcomes new patients and collaborates closely with primary care and subspecialty teams when additional testing or surgery is needed.
