About Me
Dr. Jeffrey Peterson is an ophthalmologist at Jenkins Eye Care with a focus on glaucoma and cataracts. He works with patients to detect glaucoma early, explain what the diagnosis means for daily life, and build a treatment plan that may include medications, laser procedures, and surgery when needed.
Dr. Peterson earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed combined M.D./Ph.D. training through Weill Cornell Medical College, Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed ophthalmology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Robert Cizik Eye Clinic. With a background in both clinical care and research, he is committed to helping patients understand their options and feel confident about the steps they’re taking to protect long-term vision.
