Dr. Jeffrey Peterson is an ophthalmologist in training who provides comprehensive, compassionate eye care while completing residency. He values clear communication, shared decision-making, and careful examination to help patients understand their diagnoses and treatment choices. In clinic he evaluates a full range of concerns--from blurred vision and red, irritated eyes to cataracts, glaucoma risk, and diabetic eye disease--and coordinates testing and imaging when needed. Dr. Peterson earned his combined MD/PhD at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and brings a strong research background to patient care. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley and is currently a resident physician with the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago. His goal is to deliver thoughtful, evidence-informed care and to connect patients with subspecialists when advanced treatment or surgery is the best next step.
