About Me
A Bellevue native, Dr. Jeannette Stallworth is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology who specializes in pediatric eye care. She spent the 2023-24 year as the University of Washington Department of Ophthalmology's Pediatric Fellow, having completed her pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Stallworth earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency and general surgery internship at the University of California, San Francisco.
She has worked at the Pediatrix/Children's Eye Care clinic in Kirkland after completing her fellowship. Dr. Stallworth's clinical work focuses on providing compassionate, evidence-based, and family-centered care for children. Her research interests center on retinopathy of prematurity, a disease of the developing retina that affects newborns born prematurely.
Outside of work, Dr. Stallworth enjoys playing the cello, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children. She is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
