Dr. Jayne Weiss

Dr. Jayne S. Weiss is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external eye diseases as well as cataract surgery. She provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions affecting the front of the eye, including corneal infections, dystrophies, dry eye syndrome, and pterygium. Dr. Weiss is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal vision and comfort through both medical and surgical treatments.

Dr. Weiss completed her medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in ocular pathology at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and cornea and external diseases at Emory University. She is fluent in Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population.

At her practice within the LSU Healthcare Network, Dr. Weiss offers personalized eye care with a focus on patient education and collaborative treatment planning. She is committed to providing high-quality care to the New Orleans community.
