About Me
Dr. Jason Kam is an ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma, allowing him to provide long-term, continuous care for his patients throughout their lives. He practices at Kaiser Permanente, drawn by the organization's strong reputation for patient care and its emphasis on valuing both providers and staff. Dr. Kam focuses on patient-centered care, which involves listening to his patients and ensuring their personal values guide the clinical decisions made about their eye health.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kam serves as volunteer faculty at the University of Washington and for Veterans Affairs in the Puget Sound area. He enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping, as well as traveling, trying new restaurants, baking, and photography. His approach to medicine and life is inspired by a quote from philosopher Bertrand Russell: "The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge."
