About Me
Dr. Jason B. Wanner is a glaucoma specialist and board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who sees patients at the Prince Frederick office of Maryland Eye Associates. His practice focuses on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts, offering advanced treatment options tailored to each patient's needs.
Dr. Wanner completed a glaucoma fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he trained with leading experts in the field. He served as chief resident during his ophthalmology residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned his medical degree from Des Moines University. He is dedicated to staying at the forefront of glaucoma care through ongoing education and research.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Wanner has lectured at national ophthalmology meetings and published articles on glaucoma treatments. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Chandler-Grant Glaucoma Society. Outside of medicine, he enjoys coaching youth athletics and spending time on the Chesapeake Bay with his wife and three children.
