Dr. Jaskirat Takhar

Dr. Jaskirat Takhar is an ophthalmologist who brings excellent training in glaucoma, cataract, and comprehensive eye care. Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, he is deeply connected to the community he now serves. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at York University and earned his medical degree at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu.

Dr. Takhar then pursued his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive eye care. He further refined his expertise with a prestigious glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, gaining advanced training in cataract surgery, complex incisional glaucoma procedures (including trabeculectomy and tube shunts), and the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques.

With his extensive training, Dr. Takhar is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with the most up-to-date surgical and medical treatments available. He is proud to serve the Greater Toronto Area community with world-class glaucoma and cataract care.
