About Me
Dr. James Williams is an ophthalmologist who provides general eye care with a focus on cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma treatment. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware and earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then went on to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he completed both his internship and ophthalmology residency and received multiple departmental awards recognizing his academic excellence, teaching, and service.
Dr. Williams offers comprehensive ophthalmic care, including cataract surgery with a range of premium lens options and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He enjoys working with patients to understand their visual goals and to select treatments that best fit their lifestyle. Outside of work, he lives in Charlottesville with his family and enjoys running, hiking, and exploring the outdoors throughout Virginia.
