About Me
Dr. James Berg is an ophthalmologist at Lehmann Eye Center in Nacogdoches, Texas, where he is thrilled to return to his East Texas roots and be part of a team that has provided innovative and comprehensive eye care for over 40 years.
Dr. Berg is trained to perform traditional and laser cataract surgery, delivering high-quality intraocular lenses to correct presbyopia and astigmatism. He offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and medical management for glaucoma, and treats retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusions. His ability to speak Spanish fluently and his mission service experience enhance his patient care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Berg enjoys country living with his family, camping, fishing, and serving as the official ophthalmologist for Stephen F. Austin State University athletic teams, reflecting his deep community ties.
