About Me
Dr. Robert Paul Lehmann has been providing innovative and comprehensive eye care for more than 40 years. He is recognized by peers for his contributions to the field, particularly for his excellence in advancing the newest technology for the treatment and management of eye conditions using state-of-the-art surgical techniques.
Dr. Lehmann's experience includes pioneering success in breakthrough eye treatment and care. He was the first surgeon in the Nacogdoches/Lufkin area to offer small incision cataract surgery, No Stitch, No Patch, No Shot cataract removal, and refractive surgery. He was also the first surgeon to implant the ReSTOR intraocular lens in the United States. Dr. Lehmann established Lehmann Eye Center in 1977.
He has served as an ophthalmic course director, course instructor, and guest lecturer at national and international meetings. Dr. Lehmann is the author of published works in professional journals and contributed a chapter to a physicians' textbook on small incision cataract surgery. He holds staff privileges at Nacogdoches Medical Center, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, and Ben Taub General Hospital.
