About Me
Dr. James Lee is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist practicing at Colorado Eye Institute. He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, with particular expertise in corneal conditions, cataract surgery, and refractive procedures. His clinical focus includes treating keratoconus, corneal transplants, and various external eye diseases using advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Lee completed his medical education at the University of Illinois and underwent specialized training through a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and maintains active membership in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Lee has contributed to medical literature with articles on infectious disease, refractive surgery, and molecular biology.
As a pioneer in adopting new technologies, Dr. Lee was the first ophthalmologist in Colorado to implant the Panoptix lens and among the first to utilize the XEN Gel Stent.
