Dr. James Lee is an ophthalmologist and cornea specialist at Colorado Eye Institute in Colorado Springs. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Arizona. His clinical focus includes comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, LASIK, and the management of corneal conditions such as keratoconus and corneal dystrophies.
Dr. Lee is known for being at the forefront of new technology, having been the first ophthalmologist in Colorado to implant the Panoptix lens and one of the first to use the XEN Gel Stent. He has authored multiple articles on infectious disease, refractive surgery, and molecular biology, and his research has been presented at national symposia.
