Dr. James Howard

Dr. James G. Howard is a board-certified retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides care for a wide range of retinal and macular conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments. He has extensive experience in advanced treatments and was the first surgeon in Utah to implant the Port Delivery System for macular degeneration.

Dr. Howard has been involved in clinical research as a principal investigator on numerous trials and has authored articles on eye conditions. He also contributed to establishing vitreoretinal surgery programs in Mongolia and Mexico through humanitarian efforts. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists.
