About Me
Dr. Kirk Winward is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides care for the full spectrum of retinal and macular conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments. He treats patients with complex retinal diseases and is experienced in managing a wide range of vitreoretinal disorders.
Dr. Winward completed his medical education at the University of Utah School of Medicine and his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He serves as an associate clinical professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he instructs residents and fellows in the Vitreoretinal Service.
He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been recognized in Best Doctors in America and Guide to Top Ophthalmologists. Dr. Winward is actively involved in clinical research and has authored many articles on vitreoretinal diseases.
