Dr. Jade Guevara

Dr. Jade Gieseke Guevara is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in Cornea and External Disease as well as comprehensive ophthalmology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College of Columbia University and earned her medical doctorate at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Dr. Guevara completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida–Shands Hospital. During training, she completed additional cataract and corneal surgery training at the Malcolm-Randall Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and refractive surgery training at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville. In her final year of residency, she served as Chief Resident and has presented research at regional and national meetings including ARVO and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She provides medical and surgical cornea care, including full- and partial-thickness corneal transplants, and manages cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration, with experience in laser cataract surgery and advanced intraocular lens implants.
