About Me
Dr. Ihuoma U. Alozie-Uddoh is an attending ophthalmologist and surgeon at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus includes glaucoma, cataract, diseases of the anterior segment, and diabetic eye disease treatment. She offers a range of surgical options including standard glaucoma and cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, and advanced technology premium intraocular lens implants. For diabetic eye disease, she provides advanced diagnostic technology and laser treatment, collaborating with retina surgeons when needed.
Dr. Alozie-Uddoh completed her medical education at State University of New York, followed by an internship at Yale University School of Medicine, an ophthalmology residency at Howard University Hospital, and a glaucoma fellowship at Tufts University-New England Eye Center. Her research centers on glaucoma and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She has also conducted international research in West Africa and India.
Dr. Alozie-Uddoh is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
