Dr. Nitasha Gupta practices general ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract and glaucoma consultations, helping patients maintain clear vision and protect long-term eye health. She offers refractive and complex cataract surgery, including laser-assisted cataract surgery and advanced-technology intraocular lens (IOL) implants.

For glaucoma, Dr. Gupta provides a subspecialty focus and is especially interested in “non-eyedrops” options. These may include in-office laser treatments, extended-release medication implants, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) for appropriate patients.

She completed an accelerated medical education pathway at Northwestern University and then trained through internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She completed fellowship training in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Gupta aims to combine up-to-date technology with a personalized approach so patients can make informed decisions that fit their needs and lifestyle.
