Dr. Howard Bruckner

Dr. Howard L. Bruckner is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon who has been serving patients in Augusta, Georgia since 1973. He is the Founder and Medical/Surgical Director of the Academy of Cataract and Laser Surgery, specializing in advanced cataract surgery and laser vision correction procedures.

Dr. Bruckner is dedicated to providing personalized care, taking the time to listen to each patient and design a treatment plan tailored to their unique condition. He uses state-of-the-art technology, including the Allegretto WaveLight System and IntraLase iLasik, to achieve consistent and predictable results for laser vision correction and cataract surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Bruckner is actively involved in teaching, offering preceptorships to surgeons from around the world. He also volunteers his skills with the Team of International Eye Surgeons, providing care to those in need globally. His commitment to service extends to his military background, having served as Chief of Ophthalmology for the United States Army’s Southeastern US division and receiving the Army Commendation Medal.
