About Me
Dr. Hasan Muqri is a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, where he cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He evaluates symptoms carefully, reviews imaging with patients, and discusses evidence-based options such as medications, in-office laser or injections, and surgery when needed. His goal is to preserve and restore sight while providing clear explanations and compassionate follow-up.
Before fellowship, Dr. Muqri completed residency training at the University of Texas–Houston and earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. At WashU, his training spans advanced diagnostic imaging and complex retinal surgery, including management of challenging retinal detachments as well as inflammatory and oncologic retinal conditions. He works as part of a multidisciplinary team within a high-volume academic center and focuses on timely, individualized care for each patient.
