Dr. Vichar Trivedi

Dr. Vichar Trivedi is a vitreoretinal surgeon in training and a two-year Retina Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis. He cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, working closely with faculty in a high-volume academic center to deliver precise, evidence-based care. Before fellowship, Dr. Trivedi completed ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute/Wayne State University, where he developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and managing complex retinal conditions. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. At WashU, his fellowship emphasizes advanced techniques for complex retinal detachment repair and thoughtful management of inflammatory and oncologic retinal disease, supported by state-of-the-art imaging and surgical technology. Dr. Trivedi values clear communication, collaborative decision-making, and compassionate follow-up so patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and expected recovery.
