About Me
Dr. Harry Koster is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon specializing in the treatment of corneal and external diseases, anterior segment reconstruction surgery, and phacoemulsification. He has performed over 25,000 LASIK and cataract procedures and was one of the first eye surgeons in New York to utilize multifocal lens technology.
Before LASIK was FDA-approved in the United States, Dr. Koster completed a prestigious fellowship in refractive surgery at Hotel-Dieu in Paris, one of France's leading eye hospitals. He also completed a fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School and a residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
Dr. Koster serves as an assistant clinical professor at New York Eye and Ear and Surgeon Director of Cataract Surgery at SUNY College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and he is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
