About Me
Hallie Rae Hahn, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained refractive and cataract surgeon at Maine Eye Center in Portland. She focuses on helping patients achieve lifelong visual performance with individualized surgical plans and a clear, friendly counseling style. Dr. Hahn graduated summa cum laude in biological engineering from the University of Florida and earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Merck Manual Award. She completed ophthalmology residency at the Storm Eye Institute, earning the William Vallotton Award for academic excellence.
Dr. Hahn pursued advanced fellowship training through the Refractive Surgery Alliance and the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences at Kugler Vision in Omaha. She offers the full spectrum of modern refractive procedures—including EVO ICL, LASIK, PRK, and refractive lens exchange—as well as standard and complex cataract surgery with technology-forward planning. Dedicated to service, she has participated in international surgical outreach and remains active in ASCRS, AAO, WCRS, and Women in Ophthalmology.
