About Me
Dr. Gustavo Gamero is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care with a special focus on glaucoma. He performs various anterior segment laser surgeries and manages a wide range of eye conditions including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and macular degeneration. Dr. Gamero sees patients at St. Luke's Eye locations in Tarpon Springs and Spring Hill, Florida.
Dr. Gamero received his medical degree from Cayetano Heredia University in Peru and completed additional training in the United States, including an ophthalmology residency at Catholic Medical Center in New York City and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Louisville. He served as an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Louisville and at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Dr. Gamero is fluent in English and Spanish and holds professional affiliations with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
