About Me
Dr. Gene Aidan Johnson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Army veteran who has been providing comprehensive eye care at Kellis Eye & Laser Center since 2009. He specializes in cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and general ophthalmology, utilizing the latest research to deliver high-quality care in both the office and operating room. Dr. Johnson's clinical expertise includes facial rejuvenation procedures such as blepharoplasty, correction of drooping eyelids (ptosis), and repair of eyelid malpositions caused by aging or trauma. He also diagnoses and treats skin cancers affecting the eyelids and face.
Dr. Johnson completed his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by an internship at Akron City Hospital and ophthalmology residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland. He then undertook advanced fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery under Dr. Augustine Kellis, with a focus on CO2 laser techniques. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Johnson is actively involved in teaching ophthalmology residents at University Hospitals of Cleveland as a clinical instructor and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
