Dr. Ganesh Rau

Dr. Ganesh Rau is a cornea-trained ophthalmic surgeon who is board certified. He grew up in Northern New Jersey and earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. Following this, he completed his residency training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and then pursued a fellowship in cornea and external eye disease at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Dr. Rau's clinical expertise includes advanced surgical techniques such as Intralase (bladeless) laser vision correction, micro incisional cataract surgery, full thickness corneal transplant, and endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK). He also specializes in multifocal intraocular lenses for cataracts. Through his training and experience, Dr. Rau provides surgical care for conditions including cataracts, corneal diseases, and vision correction needs. He sees patients at Palisade Eye locations in New Jersey.
