Dr. Esdras Arrieta Quintero

Dr. Esdras Antonio Arrieta Quintero is a glaucoma specialist who cares for adults with the full spectrum of glaucoma—from early diagnosis and medical therapy to advanced surgical management. He counsels patients on risks, benefits, and realistic goals of treatment, and designs plans that may include laser procedures, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), or traditional filtering surgery. He also performs cataract surgery, including combined cataract-glaucoma procedures when appropriate.

Dr. Arrieta completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Universidad de los Andes in Venezuela. He then pursued glaucoma fellowship training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami. His clinical interests include complex and secondary glaucomas, postoperative care after tube shunts or trabeculectomy, and improving access to high-quality glaucoma care.
