Meet Dr. Ernest Bhend
About Me
Dr. Ernest Bhend is an ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions. His areas of focus include cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), premium intraocular lenses, combined cataract-glaucoma procedures, and ocular surface disease, including dry eye. He also addresses common eye problems such as astigmatism, myopia, and presbyopia.
Dr. Bhend completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri – Columbia, where he also earned his medical degree. He completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri – Columbia, including training at the Mason Eye Institute. Prior to joining CEENTA, he spent ten years as a general ophthalmologist at the Missouri Eye Institute – Joplin. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Bhend sees patients at his Fort Mill office.
