Dr. Elizabeth Conner

Dr. Elizabeth Conner is a paediatric ophthalmologist and anterior segment cataract surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care for children and adults. She returned to New Zealand in 2022 after completing a fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and now practices at Southern Eye Specialists in Christchurch.

Dr. Conner specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic eye conditions, pediatric eye disease, and strabismus. She has extensive experience in cataract and corneal surgery, and she is also skilled in refractive laser surgery and myopia control for children.

Her training includes a research degree in diabetic eye disease and a fellowship at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she gained expertise in anterior segment dysgenesis, pediatric cataracts, and pediatric glaucoma. Dr. Conner is dedicated to providing the highest level of ophthalmic care and is actively involved in advancing eye health initiatives in the South Island.
