Dr. Ekta Patel

Dr. Sarah Yu is a cornea specialist who provides comprehensive care for corneal and external eye disease, cataracts, and routine eye health. She takes time to explain findings in plain language and partners with each patient to match treatment—whether medical therapy, office procedures, or surgery—to visual goals and daily needs. Her clinical interests include advanced corneal transplantation techniques and restoring a healthy ocular surface for clear, comfortable vision. Dr. Yu completed fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital after ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She earned her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In the clinic and operating room, she cares for conditions such as keratoconus, pterygium, corneal infections and dystrophies, and offers cataract surgery with modern lens options when appropriate.

Dr. Elliot S. Crane is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who enjoys helping people see comfortably and clearly again. He offers the full spectrum of modern cataract care—including astigmatism-correcting and advanced depth-of-focus lenses—and laser vision correction for appropriate candidates. Patients value his friendly, down-to-earth style and the way he tailors treatment plans to each person’s visual goals, whether that means driving at night with confidence or reading without glasses. Dr. Crane completed ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Disease at Albany Medical College/Cornea Consultants of Albany. He treats corneal dystrophies and keratoconus, performs partial-thickness corneal transplantation (DMEK/DSAEK) when needed, and manages challenging dry eye and ocular surface disease. Outside clinic, he enjoys puzzles, travel, and time with his family. Dr. Crane welcomes new patients and collaborates closely with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide seamless care.

Dr. Aisha Hasan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea specialist. She cares for patients with a full spectrum of corneal and anterior segment conditions, and performs cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and complex intraocular lens exchange or repositioning. As a clinical assistant professor, she combines an academic approach with compassionate, individualized care so each person understands their diagnosis and options. Dr. Hasan completed medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, ophthalmology residency at BronxCare Health System—where she served as chief resident—and a cornea fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. She enjoys partnering with patients to tailor surgical and non-surgical treatments and has contributed to peer-reviewed research on corneal disease and surgical outcomes.
