Dr. Elissa Hassman

Dr. Elissa Hassman is a board certified ophthalmologist. She graduated Cum Laude from The University of Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor of Arts, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital (Midwestern University) as Chief Resident. Dr. Hassman obtained a distinguished fellowship for subspecialty training in Cornea and External Eye Disease at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Hassman also did a research fellowship at Rotterdam Eye Hospital in the Netherlands and has published numerous journal articles in her subspecialty. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Hassman is a clinical attending at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Department of Surgery, Ophthalmology Division. Hospital affiliations include Kennedy Health System and Wills Eye Hospital.
