About Me
Dr. Edward L. Curran is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical, laser, and surgical eye care at West Georgia Eye Care Center in Columbus, Georgia. He treats a wide range of eye conditions and offers routine check-ups, glasses exams, and surgical procedures.
Dr. Curran completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, after a medical and surgical internship at Loyola University in Chicago. He has been serving the Columbus community since 2001 and holds staff positions at St. Francis Hospital and Midtown Medical Center. He also contributes to the education of future physicians as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine.
With special interests in diabetic eye health, dry eye problems, glaucoma, cataract treatment, and macular degeneration, Dr. Curran tailors his approach to each patient's needs. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, demonstrating his dedication to advanced eye care.
