Dr. Alan Sheyman is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina. Mahmood Khan, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Gaurav Chandra is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who cares for both the medical and surgical diseases of the retina and for uveitis and other ocular inflammatory conditions. He combines precise diagnostics with clear, down-to-earth explanations so patients understand their diagnosis, the treatment options, and what to expect at each step. His approach is collaborative and patient-first, with a special interest in complex inflammation that affects vision.Dr. Chandra completed ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in Uveitis & Ocular Immunology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He earned his medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine after undergraduate studies in Economics & Health Policy at Duke University. In addition to clinical practice, he serves as an assistant clinical professor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and helps train residents and fellows in the uveitis clinic. He welcomes second opinions and partners closely with referring physicians to ensure coordinated care.
